about

For European orders, please order directly from www.youarethecosmos.com

Blurred Harmony is the 4th studio full-length album from indie psych-folk stalwarts, The Parson Red Heads. It is the overdriven jangle of Teenage Fanclub and Big Star power-pop, the skewed psychedelics of the Paisley Underground, the bittersweet energy of New Zealand’s “Dunedin Sound” movement, and the muted twang of Cosmic Americana, all crammed into 44 minutes. It will be released on June 9 by Fluff and Gravy Records (US) and You Are The Cosmos (Europe).

As the band’s frontman, Evan Way puts it, “This record is more a true part of us than any record we have made before – we put ourselves into it, made ourselves fully responsible for it. Even the themes of the songs are more personal than ever – it’s an album dealing with everything that has come before. It’s an album about nostalgia, about time, change, about the hilarious, wonderful, bittersweet, sometimes sad, always incredible experience of living. Sometimes it is about regret, or the possibility of regret. These are big topics, and to us, it is a big album, yet somehow still intimate and honest.”

Track Name: Please Come Save Me
Days like this, I remember
Things that I tried to forget
Certain names, certain faces
Things that I'd only regret

They can tell me how I'm still lost
And still lonely
They can show me I cannot live all alone

All of my life I've ben running
Turning my back to the past
Things still to come cannot hurt me
I cannot miss what I don't have

The future cannot tell me I'm wrong
Or make me sigh
The future cannot tell me I'm wrong

Please come save me, I'm lost without you
I know alone I cannot change
Please come save me, I'm lost without you
I know alone I cannot change
Track Name: Coming Down
Every day I wake up sane
Every night I don't wanna be
Close my eyes and go back to sleep
I'm alright, I'm alright, I'm alright

Found myself in another dream
Lost my grip on everything
Tried to hard but I can't believe
I'm alright, I'm alright, I'm alright
I'm alright, I'm alright, I'm alright

Coming down, I saw you last night
Coming down I saw you, I knew I'd be fine
Coming down I saw you, last night
Coming down I saw you
I knew I'd be fine
Yeah I knew I'd be fine

Every day I wake up sane
Every night I don't wanna be
Close my eyes and go back to sleep
I'm alright, I'm alright, I'm alright

Found myself in another dream
Lost my grip on everything
Tried to hard but I can't believe
I'm alright, I'm alright, I'm alright
I'm alright, I'm alright, I'm alright

Coming down, I saw you last night
Coming down I saw you, I knew I'd be fine
Coming down I saw you, last night
Coming down I saw you
I knew I'd be fine
Yeah I knew I'd be fine
Track Name: Time After Time
Morning comes again
I can't seem to remember the face of you
Is it true?
How could I forget it?

Turning back around now
Something I am feeling
I'm missing you
I'm breaking through
All the cold of winter

Time after time after time
I am coming back to you
I am coming back to you
Time after time after time
I am coming back to you
I am coming back to you

Morning comes again
I can't seem to remember the face of you
Is it true?
How could I forget it?

Turning back around now
Something I am feeling
I'm missing you
I'm breaking through
All the cold of winter

Time after time after time
I am coming back to you
I am coming back to you
Time after time after time
I am coming back to you
I am coming back to you
Track Name: Sunday Song
Morning fog hangs in my mind
Out my window there's another kind
The sun is higher than the trees
Your name is hanging on the leaves

Sunday song … Sunday song …

The moon is growing into view
I lost the only you I ever knew
The sun is lower than the trees
Your name is carried on the breeze

Sunday song … Sunday song …
Track Name: What Have I Become
Driving down the road, I'm going home
All my thoughts and feelings moving so slow
A million lives are fading in the past
I never thought that living would move so fast

What have I become?
Can I name the things that I have done?
All the things I've felt
I feel like they belong to someone else

Can I change the way I've always been?
Every time I try my thoughts return to him
The man that I try to leave behind
I wonder why the answers are so hard to find

What have I become?
Can I name the things that I have done?
All the things I've felt
I feel like they belong to someone else
Track Name: Terrible Lie
The sun's on the rise
Last night's on my mind
I can hear you say
You're not sure what you're living for

You're here in this song
But you're already gone
I can hear you say
You're not sure what you're looking for

It's a terrible lie you tell yourself
It's a terrible like you tell yourself
Oh, that one day
We all go away

The years and the songs
The rights and the wrongs
I would bury them
To give you what you're looking for

Not sure what to do
My heart's still with you
I've said everything
Everything
There's nothing more

It's a terrible lie you tell yourself
It's a terrible like you tell yourself
It's a terrible lie you tell yourself
It's a terrible like you tell yourself
Oh, that one day
We all go away
Track Name: Time Is A Wheel
Time is a river
I heard someone say
Time is a river
It's rushing away

And you don't have a say
And it don't care what you have in mind

Time left me waiting
For more time to come
Time left me wanting
Because I got none

And you don't have a say
And it don't care what you have in mind

Time is a wheel
Left to turn away
Time is a wheel
Left to turn away

Time left me reeling
At all I had done
Time got me feeling
I hadn't begun

Yeah, you don't have a say
And it don't care what you have in mind

Time's got me thinking I left you behind
Time's got me sighing, because I can't find
All the words to explain what I'm feeling
Feeling inside

Time is a wheel
Left to turn away (rolling on)
Time is a wheel
Left to turn away (rolling on)
Time is a wheel
Left to turn away (rolling on)
Time is a wheel
Left to turn away (rolling on)
Track Name: Today Is The Day
Everybody's saying that today is the day
I've got a lot of feelings that could get in the way
But I want you to stay
Another day
Another day

Time just moved in slow motion
The day that you showed up
Time just moved in slow motion
The day that you showed up
Oh, the day that you showed up
Oh, the day that you showed up
Track Name: Waiting For The Call
You've got nothing left to say
Yeah, I have seen it all
You've got nothing left to do
You're waiting for the call

Don't you cry
Things will be alright
Don't you cry
Things will be alright

All the people that you know
They're wishing on a star
All the people that you love
They don't know who are

Don't you cry
Things will be alright
Don't you cry
Things will be alright
Track Name: Out Of Range
Sorry I fell out of touch
I love you so much
I would never dare

Sorry I fell out of range
The part that was so strange
Is I was always there

Sorry I fell out of style
All the while
I was on a razor's edge
Track Name: In A Dream
I woke in a fright
I saw us in a dream
You lost all your light
I don't know what it means

I gave it everything I had
Everything fades out in the end
I never thought it'd take so long
To see me as I am

I see as I sleep
Pictures of the end
I know what I need
I lost you, my best friend

I gave it everything I had
Everything fades out in the end
I never thought it'd take so long
To see me as I am

I gave it everything I had
I'm waiting for the call
I gave it everything I had
I want you to stay
I was on a razor's edge
I gave it everything I had
I'm waiting for the call
I gave it everything I had
I want you to stay
I was on a razor's edge
